Soma's absolutely delicious furikake gohan!! The jellified chicken broth on top adds so much flavor. And don't forget chicken wings!! It's just as good~~~ =9
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups rice
4 eggs
10 chicken wings
1 tbsp olive oil/sesame oil
3 cups dashi stock (or 1 and 1/2 tsp dashi granules + 3 cups of water)
1 tbsp sake, sugar and mirin
3 tbsp light soy sauce
sugar & salt
minced ginger
diced spring onions for garnish
- Pan fry the chicken wings in some oil and brown both sides.
- In a pot, combine dashi, light soy sauce, sugar, minced ginger, sake and mirin.
- Add all the chicken wings into the stock.
- Bring to a boil and turn the heat down to medium low heat and let it simmer.
- About an hour and a half later, half of the liquid should remain.
- Take out all the chicken wings.
- Filter the broth through a sieve to remove any unwanted chunks.
- Place it in an ice bath or in the fridge to let it solidify.
- Beat eggs and add salt and sugar to taste.
- Scramble the eggs over high heat in a frying pan until they turn dry and flaky.
- Take out the solidified chicken broth and cut into cubes.
- In a bowl of rice, top with scrambled eggs and a few cubes of chicken broth jelly, finish up with some spring onions and serve immediately!! It melts very quickly~
Tips:
- To easily take the jelly out of the container, dip in hot water first to release the jelly from the sides.
