Italian Frittata - EP 2

Shokugeki no Soma Recipe




Super easy and so healthy breakfast recipe by Takumi!!


INGREDIENTS:


7-8 medium eggs

1 medium onion
1 large bell pepper
bacon
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup cheese
salt & pepper to taste
lemon juice or white vinegar


  1. Dice the bell pepper and onion.
  2. Cut the bacon into bite sized pieces. Feel free to remove some of the fat if it's too much.
  3. Beat the eggs until just combined, don't over beat! Add salt and pepper to taste and a few drops of lemon juice. 
  4. Add milk to the egg mixture. 
  5. Stir fry the bacon, releasing all of its oil.
  6. Add onion to the bacon and cook until translucent.
  7. Add the bell pepper last so it remains crispy and not mushy.
  8. Turn down the heat to low and pour on the egg mixture.
  9. Gently stir the egg around to let it cook evenly. 
  10. When there is still some liquid egg left, add the cheese. 
  11. Unstick the sides of the pan and flip over. Easier done with a plate on top!

Tips:

  • By adding lemon juice or white vinegar to beaten eggs will make it soft and fluffy when cooked. Don't worry you won't be able to taste the sourness!
